Eloping to get married in Phuket is becoming a more and more popular option for couples who want a romantic and special wedding combined with a honeymoon and trip of a lifetime. I was so happy to help Jessie and Robbie plan their Phuket wedding day and we squeezed in a lot to their day so I will split this blog post into two parts.
In the morning they had a private Buddhist blessing by the monks at Wat Chalong and photo shoot around the temple grounds. As their wedding planner I had arranged their legalisation in Bangkok and the amphur came to the temple to finalise the paper work. We set up a pretty table with flowers in the garden for them to sign the wedding documents. Jessie and Robbie wrote love messages to each other and tied them to the tree at the temple, had their fortune told and lit candles and incense before heading to the mountains to go elephant riding. They had dreamed of a spiritual and traditional wedding in Thailand and also loved the idea of a Western beach ceremony at sunset. So we did both.
