Lisa and Deane were totally inseparable ever since they met. When they decided to have a destination wedding in a beautiful place Thailand was an easy choice.
“Thailand is a sort of middle ground. Lisa is originally from Denmark and I’m originally from South Africa. Thailand makes a shorter flight for families from both sides of the world.”
Annette from Travel Managers and Thai the Knot weddings arranged the beautiful Marriott wedding day. Annette creates gorgeous weddings and events for her wedding groups and they always have trendy and stylish floral designs and beautiful details to photograph. We always love working with her.
Friends and family from all around the globe arrived to the Marriott Merlin Beach Resort and were all so happy to be reunited in the tropical paradise of Phuket.
I love the ceremony set-up for this Marriott wedding. The archway was rustic and unique with lots of greenery and orchids and soft white flowers decorating it. And the bride carried a huge bouquet of pink roses. It all tied into a very soft and romantic setting.
The Marriott wedding ceremony was really lovely. Jordan, the couple’s cute 7-year-old son, took part in the ceremony and never stopped smiling. After the wedding vows and ring exchange the couple did a sand pouring ritual and signed the certificate before being announced as man and wife. Then they popped a bottle of champagne under the palm tree before being hugged and kissed by all the guests. Then it was time for the couple to have photo and video on the beach at sunset while the guests enjoyed cocktails and beers on the lawn.
Dinner was in the ballroom. It was an intimate reception with touching speeches and a night of happy celebrations. Wishing you joy and happiness and hope we might see you again ~ photography and video by Gina, Jaran & team.
