It was a beautiful wedding for this Kiwi bride and her Irish groom at Como Point Yamu in Phuket. Mandy and Damien met at a mutual friend’s birthday in Sydney. During a holiday at Como Point Yamu and after many loved up years together Damien proposed over dinner in the resort’s glam private dining room.
Damien says they considered many wedding venues.
“We eventually made the decision to book Point Yamu as we liked it so much when we were there that we really wanted to share it with our family and friends.”
We also felt that it took away a lot of the uncertainty that comes with a destination wedding as we are so familiar with the layout and quality of the resort services.Thailand was a great half-way location for us as our guests came primarily from New Zealand, Ireland, Australia, the USA, Canada and England.”
On the beautiful sunny day Lisa Allen did the hair and make-up for Mandy and her bridal party. Mandy is beautiful and reminds me totally of American actress Anne Hathaway. The boys relaxed in another villa before the sunset ceremony.
It was a joyful ceremony conducted by wedding celebrant Marek. A friend gave a meaningful reading and the couple kissed and walked down the aisle showered by white petals.
