I’m a big fan of weddings at The Village, Coconut Island. I never get tired of going there and rave on about how it’s one of the top wedding venues in Phuket. Now the boat leaves from Phuket Royal Marina over to the island which makes the arrival so much more comfortable and glamorous too. There are some lovely restaurants on the mainland side. I’m going for a long lunch soon and will blog about them. And it doesn’t take long to get to the island either. Really, going by water is much faster than going many places on the mainland by car because traffic jams are frequent.
So I’d like to share this bright & modern wedding from Adrian & Mirela’s special day in Phuket. We love photographing colourful weddings. So well-suited to the tropical environment and so many possible variations for colour themes. Especially I love how the in-house floral team pulled this array of colours together. It’s pretty, it’s summery & so beautiful!
See the photo of the little ring bearer. He was obviously overwhelmed and eventually handed over the wedding rings. Having children involved in the wedding ceremony is always lovely and you shouldn’t worry about how it will go. Kids are so unpredictable but cute no matter what, even if they are spilling tears as they go up the aisle it will bring smiles to everyone’s faces.
After the couple were married their guests enjoyed cocktails and canapés on the villa lawn. The bride and groom strolled to the pier and around the resort with Jimmy the photographer and had romantic sunset photos before joining the wedding reception. It was perfect!
As well as being a photographer I’m also a wedding planner and have organised many weddings at The Village. Drop me a line if you are interested in getting married there or if you have already booked and want to see more photos and video from their set-ups. I confess I have many weddings that I have yet to blog (coming soon – promise).
