Solo traveler Shona travelled from America to have a holiday in Thailand for her 40th birthday present to herself.
She is a nurse in the USA so spends many long days looking after other people. A caring and kind soul, fun and adventurous and a lovely person. It was nice to spend some hours with her taking photos at Wyndham Grand Phuket Kalim Bay. I love photographing solo travalers. They always have great stories and lots of questions.
Wynham is a fairly new resort and we recently planned and photographed their first ever wedding there (post coming soon). The grounds are huge with nice gardens, amazing views from the rooms and a very high level of service that is also warm and friendly. It’s idea for a holiday, business trip or wedding or event, is near but not too close to Patong and is modern. Really ticks a lot of boxes for me.
Back to the birthday girl. We did photos at the resort in a couple of outfits then headed to Kalim Beach. We stopped by a new beach bar for a cocktail because it was the actual day of Shona’s birthday. That’s another reason it’s nice to photograph a solo traveler, you get time to chat and take your time.
