Amazing Thailand and finally some holiday time! Mum & Ross are visiting from New Zealand and we took a road trip to Krabi. It’s a beautiful drive with huge limestone cliffs as you arrive to Krabi area and long stretches of quiet roads lined by jungle and coconut trees.
On the first day we stopped at Suwannakuha Temple in Phang Nga, also known as Monkey Temple. There are so many cheeky monkeys running around looking for food from the tourists and locals passing through the temple grounds. Kingston was fearless and loved feeding them.
Inside a cool cave there is a huge gold reclining Buddha statue and antiques and portraits of Vientiane King Chai Shettha. Outside there is another pretty Buddhist temple and large grounds.
After that we went to Tha Plom Klong Song Nam which means “two water canal.” You can see mangrove and banyan trees and crystal-clear water from nearby limestone mountains. There is an area where swimming is allowed and then you can walk 1.2 km around the wooden walkway to see the nature
We headed to Ao Nang town after that and stayed at Centra by Centara Phu Pano Resort Krabi for a few days. A nice little resort with a highlight of seeing the mountains of Krabi while swimming in the pool with a cocktail ~ photography by Gina.
