Michelle and Ross are expats living in Hong Kong and with so many friends and family scattered around the globe a destination wedding in Asia made perfect sense for them. They checked a lot of venues in Asia and Thailand before finally deciding on Cape Panwa Hotel in Phuket.
I met them in Hong Kong almost a year before the wedding and at that time they had the venue but were torn between having the ceremony on the deck or the beach. In the end they decided on the same place I personally would have. The deck is beautiful with amazing ocean views and comfortable, modern and pretty. The beach is nice too but I think much more elegant and comfortable on the deck.
Lisa Allen did the bride’s hair and make-up. Michelle is absolutely beautiful and looked so lovely as she was walked down the aisle by her father. The couple were married and popped the champagne and cut the cake before the group photos. The ceremony was at 4 pm so we a lot of time for photos and video of the couple afterwards while guests had cocktail hour.
They had the cocktails at Otter’s Bay (indoors and outdoors) and then the reception at Panwa House restaurant. It’s an old Sino-Portuguese building right on the beach. It’s very beautiful and a lovely way to tie in some historical culture to the wedding day.
So many nice photos of the couple after the ceremony. They were like super models bringing it for every shot. The pier photos are my favorite – so dreamy and romantic.
