This wedding was planned by Natalie at Dream Weddings Asia. I love photographing her weddings because they are always creative, bright and modern. And she attracts brides who see these wonderful creations and who also appreciate the little details, inclusion of cultural elements through venue, food or other ways.
Dominique and Mark were full of energy for their big day and couple photo shoot. Starting at Wat Chalong with a traditional Buddhist monk blessing they gave offerings to the monks, enjoyed the chanting and were blessed with holy water during a very special ceremony. After that they went around the beautiful local temple for photos, stopping along the way to light candles and incense and sip fresh coconuts.
Then we went to Phuket Old Town and had lunch at Natural Restaurant. Delicious and authentic food there and quite affordable prices too. The décor is what draws people in. The old building, antiques and quirky decorations like fish in tanks made from retro televisions like they had in the old days when tv was only in black and white.
In the late afternoon we had a couple photo shoot around Naiharn. I often shoot in that area because all around there you have a big lake, park, Thai temple, lookout point with amazing views and a nice beach. So we can get a diverse collection of photos in many beautiful locations without having to travel far.
Dominique wanted a bouquet that could only be from the tropics and truly it’s one of my all time favorites. So gorgeous and tropical for sure.
Wishing you all the best for your lives as a married couple. Here are some favorite images from the afternoon session that I photographed and will blog about the temple wedding that Jaran photographed another time soon. Wedding planning by Natalie at Dream Weddings Asia, photography by Gina.
And what’s going on here? Funny story the resort staff gave Mark durian and he tried it – not a fan!
